Mozilla Standards Positions
What it does
A GitHub repository where Mozilla records its formal position on web standards proposals — specifications, APIs, and features being developed at W3C, WHATWG, TC39, and other bodies. Each position entry is filed as a GitHub issue and given one of a small set of labels: “positive”, “neutral”, “negative”, or “harmful”. The rationale for each position is discussed openly in the issue thread.
Who is it for
Standards editors and proposal authors seeking early signal from Mozilla, web developers trying to understand Mozilla’s implementation intentions, and anyone tracking multi-vendor consensus around a proposed web feature.

Who is maintaining it
Mozilla’s standards team. Positions are submitted and reviewed by Mozilla engineers and product managers with domain expertise in the relevant area.
